ENTERTAINMENTS.
CONCERT AT WENDONSIDE
A very successful concert and dance. w.fiK held in too Wendonsido Coronation Hail on Friday evening (writes our correspondent). The weather was all that could, ho desired and the hall was comfortably filled. The following lathe; and gentlemen contributed items: —Songs, Misses Smaill, M. Smaill, Stewart. Hauler, Wayte, Wide and Gillespie, Messrs J. S'proat. E. A. Cameron, G. Given, R. Turn-bull and H. McChesivey; recitations, Messrs R. Johnston, and A. J. Cameron. The accompanists were Mrs McChesney, M'is-vs Smaill, M. Smaill, Shepard and M.- Way to and Mr do Laurie. The programme was one of the best ever submitted to a local audience and tho IMTI-'ornicrs were accorded a hearty veto of thanks.
.At thn dance whicli followed about 40 couples took tho floor. Excellent mn.-iic. v. ;s supplied by Mr do Laurie's orchestra- (throe instruments), while Messrs A. J. Cameron, E. A. Cameron and H. Sanson wire efficient M.'s M. Refreshments, provided by Mr W. Wallis, of Waikaia, wore dispensed during the evening. The financial result will be a subst'.iiit.'a! increase to the hall funds.
