The Press Association message from Dunedin to the effect that the M'iy Salvage Company claims to have A lie prijr rights over the location of the General Grant wreck is not taken seriously by the promoters of the new Auckland syndicate. ' Seen by a, press representative this morning the promoters stated that legal •advice had been obtained locally, and it was quite clear no one couid e.'aim any prior right over the wreck or treasure, for after so many years there could be no monopoly over salvage rights. The Minister for Marine has also been communicated with, and it is confidently expected that his reply will indicate that there is nothing to prevent "Jj&e Auckland syndicate from going right ahead with its scheme.
