ESTATE OF JOHN NOLAN. A meeting of creditors in the estate of John Nolan, fellmongor, of Gore, was called for this morning at the office of Mr J. Latham (dequty official assignee). There were no creditors present and the assignee, after receiving the debtor's statement, adjourned the meeting sine die. The debtor stated that he commenced business as a fellmongor ;it Waitahuna in 1895. Tilings went on fairly well until 1901 when, owing to a fall in the wool market he went back in business and had some difficulties. About four and a-half years ago hi.s financial position was growing weak owing to fluctuation in the wool market and competition became stronger. Finally he had to give up the business for want of funds. Ho tried to meet conditions that were pressing but found ho not keep it up and so arrived at, his present position through being PVessed by one of his creditors.
