THE DAY IN WELLINGTON.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. A great deal of interest was taken in the second ballots to-day. The voting was brisk, and, as on tho occasion of the first ballot, tho streets were thronged all day. In the evening also great crowds gathered in front of the various result-boards, and the proceedings were lively as the returns were posted. Candidates successful arid otjierwi'ie addressed the electors from the newspaper balconies. Beautiful summer weather prevailed all day and evening.
