AN EXTRAORDINARY NOTE.
PER UNITED I'RIiSS ASSOCIATION. WHANGAREI, Jan. 28. A note signed by Norman Kearle, tlu name of the Maori missing from Hikurangi since Monday,, was found pushec under the door of the constable's resi dence bearing the words,- "'Mad« toe big a fool of myself to return. Goin<; to be parson. Good-bye." It is gener ally concluded that Kearle has a men tal kink.
