CORRESPONDENCE.
GORE STOCK SALE. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I see by your report of the last Gore stock sale that "a good deal of interest appeared to be taken in the sheep by the onlookers, as it had been currently reported that several linrs recently bought at a country sale would come forward for sale." The sheen referred to I believe to bo some that I bought recently at Riversdale, but 1 don't know who originated the report that they would come forward for sale at Gore. There has been a big rise in sheep, and when I bought I knew the rise was coming and was going to continue and grow bigger. I intend to buy more and not sell those I have already got—at least not yet, as I have plenty of feed for them. If "Fairplay," who had a letter in your issue of last Saturday, will give his name and not stab in the dark I will have pleasure in replying to him, but anonymous writers afraid to give their nani<s are beneath contempt and deserve no notice to be taken of their writings I am, etc., JOHN O'NEILL.
