Jn the Supremo Court, Dunedin, in Chambers, this week Mr Justice William 1 ; granted letters of administration in the estate of Roderick McLeod, of Otama, farmer (Mr Poppelwell). An evening party was held at M.s Palmer's residence in Eeclcs street on Thursday in honor of Miss Bowmar's approaching marriage. There were about two dozen young people presoiu, and a very enjoyable time was spent in songs and games. At a suitable in terval in the proceedings the Rov. W. Groenslade, on behalf of the young people of the Gore Methodist Clnireli presented Miss Bowniar v.ith a handsome silver-backed brush and comb an 1 mirror. He expressed the wish that Miss Bowniar would have much happiness and prosperity in her new home. Mr Bowniar suitably replied en behalf of his daughter, and Mrs Palmer waheartily thanked for her hospitality.
