! COURSING. | INVERCARGILL MEETING. The Invercargill Coursing Club's opening meeting for the season was held on Wednesday 'and Thursday, and was a distinct success. The W 7 aironga Hundred, winner £3O, second £l2, and third £5, was won by Mr F. Malcolm's Ireland's Glory, Arrah-na-Pogue second and Taratu third. Mr A. Cuff's Tawera was defeated in the third round by Taratu. The Puppy Stakes was won by Mr J. Jones' Comet, which beat Providence in tbe final. The President's Stake went to Keighe'ry's Gift, -with Captain Cook second and Mr O. Kelly's Kilcoo third.
