Received March IS ,8.50 a.m. LONDON, March 17 Ueuter's correspondent at I'ckin states that it is expected that the German loan for the Canton-Hankau railway will he withdrawn owing to tho opposition encountered from English and l'rcnch quarters. Dr Morrison, tho 'Times' correspondent at Pokin stated the other day that a German syndicate was lending .£3,000,000 for the construction of tho northern half of the Canton-Hankau railway, which was a direct violation of the agreement of 1905, whereby British capital and British material were to he used. It was also a disregard of the British-German agreement of 189S<, defilling the spher of railway interest.
