AUSTRALIAN BUSH FIRES.

Launceston Feb. 1. There are bush iires in all parts of Tasmania, and Hobart is enveloped in smoke. At Long 1 'ay the church, school, and dwellings have been consumed. The residents are camped on the beach. At the inquest on the six Walsh children, the evidence showed that t heir mother quarrelled with "her mother, whom she was visiting, and that she refused her a horse to return home, so she started to drag the sulky home herself. The thermometer was 11(5 in the shade, and she became exhausted, and lost her way and the children. Her mother denied refusing the horse.
