DU.NEDIN PRODUCE liEI'OUT. Messrs Dalgety unci Co., Ltd., report us follows : We hold our usual weekly sale of grain and produce ut our stores on Monday. A small catalogue was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding, howevei, was not by any means brisk, and only a small proportion of our catalogue was Quitted at auction. Several lots were, However, sold privately at advances on passed-in prices. Values ruled as under : Oats.—Stocks in local stores are low considerably reduced. A grade Cartons have had some enquiry, but very few are available, while the other grades are offering at late values. Shippers, however, having orders, are lilling same to better advantage, in the Southland market. Quotations : l'rime milling, Is (id to Is 7d ; good to best feed, Is <Ud to Is Sjd ; inferior and medium, Is 3d to Is Id per per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff.—Consignments for the past week have been light and the market is poorly supplied with prime quality, which commands a ready sale, ex truck. Medium and light chaff, although not meeting with the same attention from buyers, has a limited sale. Quotations : Prime oaten sheaf, £3 5s to £3 10s ; medium do, £2 17s 6d to £3 2s Od ; light and inferior, £2 10s to £2 15s per ton (bags extra).

GORE STOCK MARKET. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. report as follows : There was a fair attendance at Tuesday's sale, when about 1500 sheep were offered. Bidding was slow, no doubt owing to the shortage of grass, and prices were rather easier. Fat wethers brought 23s ; fat ewes, 18s 3d to 23s id ; hoggets, from 10s 3d to 17s !kl ; ewes and lambs (all counted) 10s 3d to 13s 3d ; merino wethers, l*s 4d. Cattle—Albout 130 head yarded. Fat cows and heifers sold at from £5 to £7 5s ; fat bullocks, up to £0 10s ; three-year-old steers, £5 10s ; two-year-old steers and heifers, £3 10s to £1 10s ; yearlings, £2 12s Od ; calves, £1 to 30s ; milk cows, up to £9 7s Od. GRAIN. Oatsl—Several thousand sucks of J) grade have changed hands within the last six days at from Is 3d to is 3[d per bushel, ex store. Reckoning storage at Id per bushel on un average, this will act farmers Is 2d to Is 2,[d per bushel. 'lucre has been u fair demand for C grade Cartons at Is Id to Is lid pec bushel on trucks, sidings, or e.x store, and several large parcels have been purchased recently at this lig-ure. For feed purposes Cartons are in stronger demand than ijparrowbills—this is especially noticeable in the Dunedin market. A grade Gurtous are eagerly sought after at Is 3jd to is Id, but there is very little of this cereal offering. Chall.—Prime, £2 12s (id per ton ; medium, £2 IDs per ton, with fairly steady demand. Farmers are, however, too far back with their work to take advantage of the good prices nil ing for chaff. STOCK. Cuttle.—At Gore salcyurds on Tuesday cattle seemed to have gone back slightly. Sales of stock are being ef. fected at the following prices : —Fat bullocks, £7 to £8 10s ; 3-yr-old steers £5 10s to £(>; 2-yr-old steers and heifers, £3 15s to £5 ; yearlings, £2 15s to £3 ; calves, 25s to 355.

Sheep.—Four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, with 10U per cent, lambs are selling at Ms nil counted ; hogjpets, 17s Od to It's Od; fat wethers, 21s Od to 23s 6d; big hoggets out of wool are offering at 15s Od l and 10s. AUDINCTON MARKETS. Fat Cattle.—23o head yarded, on the whole good quality.
