GORE CYCLING CLUB.
GENERAL MEETING. Some dozen members attended a meeting of the Gore Cycling- Club held last evening, Mr McKinua pro-sid-ing. A report and balance shirt i"n connection with the recent sports meeting and concert were presented by the secretary (Mr G. \V. Taylor), showing a net profit of £0 Is- Mr B. J. Faitt, vice--president, wrote complaining that he had received no notice of the Club's meetings, and for that reason desired his name to be removed Iron) the list of office-bearers.—Jt was oxplained that hitherto it had not 1 ten the practice to notify office-bearers of meetings. It was resolved to ask Mr Faitt to reconsider his decision ;ii'l that in future office-bearers be apprised of all meetings. The following donations wore received:—Gold medal from Mr F. Willis, silver medal Miss Jamie, acetvivie bicycle lamps, Mr R. Vickery and the National Cycle Co. (Duncdin).—On the motion of Mr 8. Ladbrook the secretary was instructed to write thanking the donors for their gilts, and also to Messrs A. King. 0. I. Wilson, R. C. Mitchell and others who had so ably assisted at the Club's concert without pavnient of any kind, thanking them for their efforts. Messrs Allott. G. H'hittingham and the secretary were appointed a sub-commit-teo to wait on the Ilurriers' Club in regard to providing pedestrian events at the Cycling Club's sports meeting ■ in February. Tt was arrangitl that a road race to Mataura and back should be I>e;d on the 30th inst.. open to all connrs, the prizes to bo gold medal for first, silver medals for second and third, * and medal and bicycle lamp for fastest unplaced time.
