Deliveries by Letter Carriers are made daily Delivery at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. SEA-BORNE MAILS WILL CLOSE AS FOLLOWS Monday, May 19. For Natal and Cape Colony, at 1 p.m. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (via Naples), India, China, Straits Settlements, Aden, Egypt, and Australian States, per s.s. Monowai, at 1 p.m. A parcels mail for London and for correspondence specially addressed, per s.s. Tongariro, at G p.in. due in London on July 1. Parcels for Australian States at noon. Money orders and registered letters at noon. The English mail of this despatch will bo due in London on July 1. Wednesday, May 21. For Australian States, except Tasmania (per s.s. Westralia, via Wellington), at G p.m. Money Orders, Registered Letters and Parcels at 4 p.m. Parcels for New South Wales and Queensland only at 5 p.m. Mail due in Sydney on May 2. Postage on letters for Australia has been reduced to Id for each £oz or fraction thereof. Note—The postage at present on letters for Samoa is 2£d per half ounce. Note—As large numbers of newspapers for the United Kingdom continue to be posted insufficiently prepaid, the public are reminded that newspapers for the United Kingdom are charged by weight—viz., for first -loz, Id; every additional 2oz, Ad. S. DEWAR, Postmaster.
