BIBLE -IN-SCHOOLS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Kindly allow me to remind the parents and all who are interested in the introduction of Scripture reading into the public schools that the only way of accomplishing this is to elect members to Parliament who will allow the people of the colony to declare their desire in this matter by a plebiscite. The Hon. G. F. Richardson has distinctly signified his willingness to support a bill for this purpose. Mr McNab as distinctly declares his adherence to the present secular system. I trust, therefore, the parents, and particularly the mothers of children attending the public schools, will show their desire for this necessary improvement of our educacation system by recording their votes in favor of Mr Richardson. — I am, etc., James Cop__ti. P.S.— Those interested in Prohibition should remember that the voting on that question, although taken the same day, is on a separate ballot paper, and is .quite distinct from the election. — J.C.
