« The weather interfered with the sports held at Wyndham yesterday, but nevertheless the attendance was good, and the officials worked hard to promote the enjoyment of all. The Mataura Brass Band was in attendance, and rendered a programme of music in a manner which elicited the warmest admiration. Following are the results of the events : — Quoits, 18yds : First prize, £1 ; second, 10s.— A. Gregory 1, R. Shields 2. Four entries. Maiden Race, 150 yds : First, £1 ; second 10s. — T. Burke 1, C. Sanders, R. Craig and E. Briggs tied for second. Five entries. Boys' Race (under 10 years) : First prize, 10s ; second, 5s. — W. Chaplin 1, Jim Hunter 2, Jack Henry 3.
