GORE STOCK SALE.

The National Mohtoaoe and Agency Co. . report as follows : _ Tho entry of sheep on Tuesday last con- t sisted of about 2000 of all classes ; fat and ( half fat wethers being in preponderance, with j a few prime pens of fat ewes and the balance lambs. There wero not many people in , attendance, the weather turning very stormy as the sale started ; but, fortunately, tho bulk 1 of those present were buyers, and we aro safe | in saying that double tbe quantity of stock 1 could easily have been disposed of. As it 1 was, prices were good, as the following sales ] will show : Fat wethers and maiden owes, s medium light weights, 12s ld to 12s 9d ; half j fat do, lis 7d ; store do, 8s 8d ; fat ewes, 9s j to 10s Gd ; lambs, 7s 2d to 9s lOd. There , was a good entry of cattle, and for steers of ( fair quality good competition. Best forward . do brought £4 to £4 17s Gd ; small do, £3 , 10s to £3 15s ; fat heifers, £4 103 to £5 for ; light weights; store cows, £2 10s to £4. Almost everything in tho yards was sold. ! We are pleased to note a very good demand for freezing sheep, and we can readily place a very large number at good prices. Good steers are also in demaud but hard to get. , .
