GORE HORSE MARKET.
Messrs Brewek and Tbembath report as follows :— For our Bale on Saturday, we had some first-class draught horses forward, and we report having held a successful sale, bidding being spirited and a good number changed bands. Mr Shaw was forward with 14, and from prices obtained' it will be seen that this draft included some good sorts. We sold by auction and privately all Mr Shaw's lot, tbe best prices obtained being as follows : -Bay colt rising 4yrs, L 25; another colt, same age, L 2 4; a 5-year-old gelding, L 2 3; and a' 6-year-old, L 22, the remaining 10 of Mr Shaw's consignment fetching up to LlB. A 4-year-old geldiner, the property of Messrs Munro, realised LlB, and a 7-year-old, sold on account Mr Pratt, fetched -Ll7. We sold a few aged and light draught horses on behalf Messrs Munro, O'Brien, M'Donald, Jenkins; etc A pair of well-matcbed carriage borses changed hands at a satisfactory figure ; and a useful cob was sold at LlO 10s. Pigs fetched -14s 3d and lls. suckers up to ßs 9d. We have a number. of enquiries for young useful farm horses, and would advise vendors to send them along at once.
