DoJoux, late town cierk of North Invercargill, was found guilty in one of two charges of embezzlement of rates. The Covei.lmcnt Auditor deposed that the defalcations of accused amounted to Li 30". The jury recoin mended accused to mercy on the ground that the annual audits had been very lax. Sentence was deferred.
