Death of a Celebrated Chief.
(Per Press Association.) Manaia, Juy 19
Titokowavu, the famous Ngutiotomami fighting chief of the troublous times of 1807 and onwards, died last night at his pah near here. He was a consistent friend of his own race, and a brave and far-seo-iug general. All tho natives of tho coast are expected at the tangi.
