For some weoks past a Mr and Mrs Agnew, of Dune lin, who allege they have been harshly treated by Government in connection with some land in Otago, have been in Wellington with a view to getting the matter set right. From morning till night they parado outside of either the Parliament Buddings or Government offices, and button-hole mm'sters, members and heads of departments, until tleir interference was such that a special constable was told oft’ to see that tho pair not interfere with members, &c. Yesterday, they intercepted Mr Ediott, Undersecretary for Crown Lands, and it is alleged that they used insulting language towards him, for which tho police have laid information against both husband and wife. Mrs Agnew : s further chargod with committing an assault of Mr Elliott. The cases will b 9 heard to-morrow. Tho Agnews bavo visited Wellington when Parliament is in session for tho last two or three years.
