The Survivors of the J. T. Berry
Per Electric Telegraph —Copyright Special to Press Association. Received Jau. 23, 2 a.m. Sydney, Jan 22. The tug steamer which was despatched to search for the missing boat of the Americau ship the J. T. Berry, burnt at sea, lias returned without finding a trace of the illfated mariners. A minute search was made of Lord Howe Island without success, and as the weather has been fine there for some time past, it is cqusidered that the boat has not been in that vicinity, as a landing could easily have been effected, It is no\y thought that those missing hpve perished, unless they had the good fortune to fall in with a passing vessel.
