Mr W. P. Reeves moves} to reduce the amount of the Loan by £400,000, and Mills, as icadpr of the \huug New kSogland Party, notified that ho intended Iq move to have the amount reduced by £200,000. A lively debate followed and on the motion being put th it the amount of tile loan should stand as printed, it, was agreed to by 3d to 24. Mr Mills’ propos'd to reduce the amount by £200,000 could not therefore bo [jut.
