Per Electric Telegraph- Copyright reuter’s telegrams. Receivod Dee 11 10.50 a.m. Brisiiane, Saturday. It is announced that the Premier and Mr J. Dickson will represent Queensland at tho forthcoming Australasian Federal Conference. Melbourne, Saturday. There were several absentees from tho banquet given by members of tli e Legislature to Earl Carnarvon last evening owing to roromarks of certain mombors of tho Assembly that strangers were not wanted there. Lord Carnarvon replying to the toast of his health said he was deeply impressed with the feeling that if federation was to be approached in true spirit it should be a Wstinct outcome of public wish and must not be tho growth of forcing Parliament. It must also be assured of tho deop permanent interest of all Parties to arrangement.
