Arrest of Melbourne Specters.
(Per Press Association.) CIIRISTCHUDCII, Nov 13. To-day the Ch'istchurch police airrsted two men named Thomas Caunody and James Mitchell, wanted by t lO Melbourne police on a charge of obta" ng £IOO by the oorfidonce trick. Caunody had been commuted for trial ; n Victoria and absconded from bail. Mitcii' 1 ! bad nr laged to elude the Victoiian police altogether. On Carmody were found pieces of paper done up to represent rolls of notes bearing £IOO outside.
