The AngPoan Synnd have amended Archdeacon Wi"'s’ motion on the question of Bible rcad'ng in schools and have agreed to the fo"ow big resolutions: 'Lnat in the Suite Schools provision should be made for the daily read big of portions of Sc ipturc, and the following add : tion was moved byRevJ.S. Hi 1 ! and was earned :—That the Education Act shor’d be amended so as to contain provision for grants in and for the maintenance of school set on foot by any rehgious denominations, provided that secular ;n----stmelion be given such schools as shall come up fo the required standard and satisfy die Government Inspectors.
