A Putrified Corpse.
Ter Press Association. Auckland, Nov 12. G. W. Bishop’s body brought to Auckland by the Mariposa will bo taken to Winks and Hall’s establishment, Short-land-street, and is to be interred at Waikoiku*. Cemetery on Monday. This morning Mr J. Rac, executor of Bishop’s w :, l, Mr AV. J. Napier, liis solicitor, and other witnesses formnhy identified tlio body. It was understood that tho remains had been embalmed, and a large sum was set down in expenses for the cost of that proceeding, but purification, has already considerably advanced, and the work of the identifiers was therefore not very pleasant.
