A CORRECTION.
To tiik Editor. Sir,—l trust you will allow me space to correct some rein arks in your leader of (his morning, having reference to my speech at the nomination, which are entirely misleading. The matter of the nomination was left in my hands, and I arranged with the gentleman alluded to —if his business engagements did not interfere—to make the nomination speech, and if he could not be present I would do so. My natural hash fulness you know, Mr Editor, made me anxious to avoid if possible appearing before such an audience.
