(REUTERS TELEGRAMS.) Received May 21, at 1.25 a.m, Adelaide, Friday. Arrived —R.M.S, Bengal. Melbourne, Friday In the Town Hall this afternoon His Excellency Sir Henry Loch presented the medals and the diplomas gained by Victorian ex hibitors at the Colonial and Indian Exhibitors, Palmer, the well known cricketer, while shooting in the neighborhood of Benalla, slipped and fractured his kneepap. There is yery little hope entertained of his ever being able to play cricket again. In the Supreme Court to-day Mr Justice Kerford refused an application made on behalf of the ratepayers of Richmond for an infunc tion to restrain the Richmond Town Council from spending the funds for the purpose of celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. Sydney, Friday.
The Legislative Assembly after twenty four hours sitting has been adjourned until Tuesday the 3 1st inst. The cloture were rules passed “ in globo.”
