N.S.W. FINANCES TWO MILLION AND A-HALF DEFICIT, THE MOUNT RENNIE AFFAIR. MORE SMALLPOX CASES THE QUEENSLAND REVENUE CABLE CHARGES. (Reuter’s Telegrams) Sydney, Wednesday. The actual deficiency in the Colonial Revenue at the end of the year is estimated at two million and a half. The matter of the Mount Ronnie prisoners sentenced to death now rests solely with the Governor. Every effort is being made to secure a reprieve. Eight fresh cases of small pox are reported. The boundaries of tho quarantine ground are being enlarged to meet the extra requirements of the outbreak. Later No further cases of smallpox have been reported at tho Quarantine Station. Adelaide, Wednesday. There are altogether four case.s of small-pox at the quarantine station but none of a dangerous character. Melbourne, Wednesdav.

The Governmeuts of New South Wales and Victoria have agreed to the holding of a conference at Adelaide for ihe consideration of tho question of utilising the river Murray for irrigation purposes. Tho reductions made by Victoria and N.S. Wales on telegrams to New Zealand is to one half penny per word up to the first 10 words for each Colony, instead of one shilling for the first 10 words as formerly. No reduction is n tdo beyond the first 10 words.
