Oxford the sire of Sterling, whose get Isonomy, was the best horse io England. Leolinus (him-, self a grand performer) is by the Stockwell horse, Caterer, from Tasmania, who is by Melbourne. Apart from his other performances, Leos won the Dunedin Suburban Welton. His feat in winning the Epsom Welter Handicap, one mile and a half, as a three-year-old, under the impost of lOefc 51b, in the unprecedented time of 2 min. 42£ secs, stamps him as ajweightcarrier of no ordiuary merit.
