’Dubbo, last night, dwelt at some length on the policy of the Government. He announced land ami income tax bills would be introduced. Bills would be also brought forward for amending the laws relating to land, local Government irrigation and a Civil Service scheme was being discussed for thorough retrenchment in the Civil Service. THE N.S.W. PARLIAMENT, A DISSOLUTION REFUSED. Rec rived Nov 21, at 11 a.m. Sydney, Nov 20. The petiti n 3 praying for a dis» solution of Parliament, signed by 22,000 persons, has been presented to the Governor, but His Excellency has declined to grant a dissolution at the present time- j London, Nov 20. It is announced that Sir R. Hamilton, Under-Secretary for Ireland, has been appointed to sue ceed Sir C, Stracban as Governor of Tasmania, The statement that extraordinary military prepara*ions arc being made relative to tho Socialistic meeting which is to be held in Trafalgar Square to morrow (Sunday) is authoritatively denied. The statement published by the Times as to site, area and cost of the Imperial Institute is without foundation.
