MATAMATA REGENT An exceptionally fine double-star programme will be screened at the Regent to-night (Thursday) and Friday. Featuring Edmund Lowe and Ann Sothern and full of breathtaking thrills is “ Grand Exit,” Columbia’s production revealing incendaries and fire insurance investigators at work. Lowe is cast as a super-detective, whose work consists of deciding in what manner the blaze started and in tracking down the criminal firebug. Also showing is Zane Grey’s “ Drift Fence,” featuring Larry “Buster” Crabbe, Katherine de Mille and Tom Keene. This fine Western romance has entertaining sequences of broncho-busting, stampedes, fist and pistol fights. That inimitable team of screen lovers, Dick Powell, with tuneful songs on his lips, and Ruby Keeler, with her rhythmic dancing, together with Joan Blondell and Jack Oakie, head the cast of Warner Brel.’ latest spectacular musical comedy, “ 'Colleen,” which comes to the Regent on Saturday and Monday
