Okauia.
WELCOME HOME A pleasant evening was held in the Okauia Hall when a hearty welcome home was extended to Mr. and Mrs. “ Mac ” Brookes following their recent wedding. Mr. Brookes has been engaged in business in Auckland for the past 18 months, but has now returned to manage his father’s farm. Mr. A. Carte:’ acted as M.C. and in a short speech expressed the hope of all present that the young couple would have a happy and successful future. The h/ulth of the guests of the evening \/as drunk with musical honours, and wedding cake was passed round. ♦ Games and dancing were ettjoyed during the evening.
