Wedding Bells.

TIMS— LEADBEATER j j A wedding of wide interest was solemnised on November 19 at the j All Saints’ Church, Matamata, be- j tween Rhona May, younger daughter j of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. J. Lead- | beater, of Matamata, and William | John, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. j W. Tims, also of Matamata. The Rev. G. F. W. Oulds performed the ceremony, and Mr. P. Ingham played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a slim-fitting ensemble of delphinium blue embossed suede cloque. Simplicity of line was the keynote of this- pleasing ensemble, the only trimming being bands of fine knifepleating falling in two straight lines from each shoulder, back and front. This striking effect was also echoed in the three-quartered coat which featured a cream georgette and lace collar as a final touch of distinction. Her large picture hat was of blue, trimmed with bow of angelskin and pink, and a blue posy “just to be seen ” under its wide brim. She wore blue shoes to tone, and carried a fragrant bouquet of blue delphiniums, pink roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Miss Mavis Leadbeater attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a slim-fitting frock of beige crinkled crepe romaine with knife-pleated panel, centre back and front. The novel sleeves were also closely pleated right round, sown to half the sleeve length and then allowed to fall freely from the elbow. A pink and blue posy was worn as a touch of colour at the sholder, while shoes, stockings and gloves exactly matched the frock. Her picture hat was also of a beige shade, and was trimmed with pink and blue velvet ribbon. A bouquet of J pink roses, azaleas and asparagus fern was carried. Mr. Roy White was best man.
