SUBSIDY ON BATES
PIAKO RESOLUTION Rebate of 25 Per cent. Wanted A rebate of 25 per cent, on rates is to be asked for from the Prime Minister by the Piako County Council. In moving in this direction at this week’s meeting of the council Cr. W. F. Stark (Morrinsville riding) said that as Parliament was now sitting and the position of dairy farmers was becoming more difficult the council should make further representations for relief from the burden of rates.
