Rise in Fat Sheep Prices. There was another heavy yarding of fat sheep at she Frankton saleyards on Tuesday. Competition was brisk, and prices for both fat ewes and wethers rose from 3s to 4s a head on last week’s quotations. A line of prime wethers sold on behalf of Messrs. Van Houtte and Nolett, of Te Uku, realised 27s each. Lambs were in small supply, and there was no alteration on late rates.

Competition for ox and cow beef was steady, and prices were on a par with last week’s quotations. There was a large yarding of fat pigs, these being mainly unfinished porkers.
