stration by Mrs. Litchfield, of Waharoa, who showed members how to wash, prepare and dye fleeces, and to knit the raw wool. The hostesses were Mesdames Bear, Blundell and Clarke.
TOKOROA BRANCH. Good floor, music, supper and a night all contributed to making the Women’s Division dance on Wednesday one of the most successful held in the Tokoroa Hall this season. The women of the branch had left nothing to chance, and the hall was beautifully decorated with streamers and balloons in the division colours, and the stage was decorated with greenery. A large number from Tokoroa and surrounding districts gathered, and the evening went with a swing from start to finish. Excellent music was supplied by the Mickey Mouse Orchestra, with extras by Mesdames Kidd and Hammond. Messrs. Dewiss and Newell were joint M.’sC. for the evening.
TIRAU BRANCH. The July meeting was well attended. Mi's. Mouldey and Miss Withers were welcomed as new members. The secretary was instructed to write letters of sympathy to two bereaved members, and a letter of thanks to Mrs. Simon, who decorated the dirthday cake. After some discussion it was decided, on the motion of Mrs. W. J. Amoore, seconded by Mrs. Hancock, to start a branch library, the mover and seconder to act as joint librarians. Parcels of clothing for distribution were given by Mesdames Carruth and y/right, and the president made a further appeal for clothing for some Maori families.
