Kereone.
Picnic at Te Aroha. The .annual picnic of the Kereone .school was held in the Herries’ Memorial Hark, .Te Aroha, on Thursday, and proved an outstanding success. Many cars, supplemented by a large motor bus and a lorry lent by Mr. B. Harnett, conveyed the families to the picnic grounds. ('The arrangements, in the Rands of the Kereone School Committee, were perfect, and a body of workers under its supervision energetically attended to the details. Something new for the children, in the way of swings, shoots and revolving wheel's, occupied their attention for the greater part of the day, while many adults joined in the fun. During the day fruit, sweets and icecream were liberally distributed, and each child attending the school was given a book. The results of racing were as follows :
