HANDLING HEAVY WHEELS.
Difficulties are often met when removing heavy lorry wheels, especially on rough or uneven ground. After the wheel has been jacked up, .■the operation will be considerably facilitated if a piece of board of adequate size is well greased and placed under the centre of the wheel. When the board is in position the jack should be released sufficiently to allow the wheel to rest on the greased board. After the hub, nut, etc., have been removed, the wheel will be found to slide off quite easily with a minimum amount of effort. The reversal of the process can be applied equally successfully when the wheel is replaced.
