TE POI.

Tuesday evening saw the hall comfortably filled. The occasion was a concert staged by a party under the direction of Mr. T. Boyce, of Cambridge. It is seldom that the Te Poi residents have the opportunity cf listening to such a musical and wellbalanced programme as was provided for, their entertainment. Miss Foster, of Christchurch, assisted the Cambridge party. Each item of the programme was enthusiastically received, the audience showing their appreciation by repeated recalls. . At the conclusion of the programme Mr. A. M. A. Wright, chairman of the hall committee, expressed the appreciation of the committee of the very generous programme supplied by Mr. Boyce and party.

Supper to the visitors was supplied by a small committee of ladies. As a result cf the concert the hall funds will benefit considerably.
