MATAMATa. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., held their monthlv 'stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday last. There was an extra •largo yarding, over a thousand head I of cattle being forwarded. Prices were:—Fat cows, £l2 15s to £ls 17s. ] (id; medium weights, £lO to £l2 10s; ( fresh conditioned cows, £8 to £0 15s; store cows, £0 to £7 ss; empty 2-ycai heifers, £7 10s to £9 ss; fifteen-months heifers, £3 15s to £5 17s Gd; 15-month steers. £2 10s to £5; 4-ycar store steers (low conditioned), £ll 17s; 2 to i 2‘-year steers, £7 15s to £8 10s; dauj cows, £l7 to £24 10s; good dairy heif- j. era, £lO 10s to’£24 10s; backward sorts, £9 10s to £l2 10s. There was a heavy ■yarding of bulls, but figures were low, I there being little demand for good ones consequent on farmers killing theiyalves.j. pA^NET > s SALE .s The Farmer’s ' Auctioneering Co. conducted a clearing sale for Mr li. J. Pannet, on the latter’s farm, Mata-mata-Waharoa road, on Thursday. There was an exceptionally large attendance, and real good prices were the result. Prices were:—D.f. R. and G. plough £29, Champion disc harrows £!)?, Massey-Harris drill, £43, fai'n waggon (Oat top) £lO, 18-months empty heifers (18) £5 Holstein cross heifers (15) £4 10.., 15-months Shorthorn heifeis (17) £1 (is yearling heifers (13) £2 12s, light draught mare £37 10s, draught gelding £4O, 4-year upstanding medium draught mare £4O, hack and harness horse £6 10s, light farm gelding £lo boy’s pony £4 10s.
