It is the spectacular drama of the most colourful outlaAv that ever lived, and utilises all the magic of technicolour to tell the epic story of a lawless era. Although HollyAvood has frequently spent as much as two years in producing a movie, never before have the fruits of their labour been so apparent as they are in “Jesse James. It is undoubtedly Darryl F. Zanuck’s greatest production. The performance of Tyrone Power in the title role is one of the outstanding acting contributions of the year. Other brilliant characterisations are presented by Henry Fonda in the role of Frank James and Nancy Kelly, as Zerelda, Jessie’s wife. Eanclelpii Scott is splendid as Marshall Wright, and a fine supporting cast do their bit doAvn to the last man. A location company, headed by Director Henry King, Avent to the Missouri Ozarks, actual scene of Jesse James’ depredations, to shoot the production.
