SURPRISE PARTY

An enjoyable surprise party was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Soper, Garston, on Saturday 29th Gilt., when many friends gathered together on the occasion of Mr 'Soper's seventieth birthday. Mr Kennett, who was in charge of the proceedings, said the visitors had conic to show their appreciation of the services rendered over a long period of years by Mir and Mrs Soper. Mr Soper had supplied music for socials and dances for about 50 years. He was well known as a veterinary expert, being called to assist sick animals in all parts of the district. He had proved himself a kind neighbour and a generous host. Mr Norman Blakely expressed bis appreciation of the willingness and helpfulness of Mr Soper at all times. Mr T.
