BADMINTON.

A team of players from the Queenstown Badminton Club, went to Cromwell during the week and played a friendly match with the local club. The visitors met with considerable success in their games, having won 15 out of 16 sets. After the match the visitors were hospitably entertained. The following are the results: — Men’s. Doubles. —C. Nelson and J. Hall beat McNamara and Walkinshaw 17—16; Griffin and Skinner beat Eae and Sinclair 15—3; Cockburn and Stewart beat Sanders and Anderson, 15 —4. Ladies’ Doubles. —Misses Tarrant and L. Edwards beat Misses Benzoin and ELlis, 15 —4; MesdamCiS Inglis and Landrebe beat Misses Cowan and Sanders, 16 —14; Mrs Stewart and Miss Harris beat Misses McCall and Johnston, 15—7. Combined Doubles—Miss Edwards and Nelson beat Miss Ellis and Walkinshaw, 15 —6; Miss Furrant and Hall beat Miss 1 Benzoni and McNamara, 15 —5; Mrs Inglis and Stewart beat Miss Saunders and Saunders 15 —8; Mrs Stewart and Skinner beat Miss Johnstone and Saunders, 15—5; Miss Harris, and Griffin lost to Miss McCall and Eae, 11 —15. Combined Doubles.—Cook burn and Mrs Landrebe beat Miss Cowan and Anderson, 15 —10. Singles.—C. Nelson beat Walkinsl aw, 15 —>8; J. Hall beat Eae 15—10; Miss Edwards beat Miss Ellis, 15—7; Miss Farrant beat Mis® Benzoni, 15—10. Members of the Clyde Badminton Club visited Queenstown last evening and played a friendly match with Queenstown Club. The match ended in a win for the home team by 30 sets to 5.
