SAVINGS FOR RAIL TRIPS
FIVE PER CENT. INTEREST. As a further inducement to the public to save up for raihvay trips, the general manager (Mr G. H. Mackley) announces a decision to grant interest at 5 per cent, on vouchers to the value of 10s or multiples of 10s. These vouchers may be obtained in exchange for the travel stamps issued at railway stations or may be bought for cash. Interest accrues from the date of issue of a voucher, but does not continue after the expiration of 12 months if the voucher is not used for the purchase of a raihvay ticket Avithin that period. ,
