GOLF NOTES.

AIROWTOWH. The stroke competition played over the week-end for ladies resulted in a tie between Mrs James and Miss Allen with nett scores of 41, Mrs Ritchie being runner-up with a nett 48.

Play in the men’s section was particularly good, the best nett scores being—Goomes 73, Reed 74, Johnston 78. * ,

A stroke match for both ladies and men will- be played this week. The winners in each section will receive a golf ball. The draw is as follows: —

Ladies—Mrs James v Mrs Deed, Mrs Douglas v Mrs Haggitt, Mrs W. P. Saunders v Miss Shaw, Mrs Swann v Mrs DiVJrie, Miss Allen v Miss Domans, Miss Deid v scorer. Men-'-James - v Ditchie, Goo'mes v W. P.
