PERSONAL NOTES.

Miss Synimonds of Glenorchy spent the school vacation in Dunedin. Mr J. McCarthy has returned from a .felt to Dunedin.

The Misses Dixon, of Invercargill, have been holidaying in Queenstown. Mrs S. Knowles of Glenorchy is holidaying in Dunedin. Miss Mary Mclnnes, who has been holidaying in Christchurch, returned to Queenstown on Saturday night.

Mrs J. McFarlane, who has been spending a few days in Queenstown, returned to Glenorchy on Monday. Mr and Mrs J. Mackenzie of Mt. Nicholas, loft on Friday morning by car for Dunedin, en route to Wellington. Mrs Bissett left on Saturday to stay with her daughter, Mrs McLean, Mataura.

Mr Geo. Mulholland of Tim am is spending a short holiday in Queenstown. He is the guest of his sisters, Misses M. and W. Mulholland. Misses McLees, Strang and Smith, (Queenstown Public School), McLeod (Glenorchy school), and Mr R. Giver (Arthurs Point school), returned from Dunedin on Saturday alter attending the New Education Conference. Mrs G. Mackie and two children, of Awarua, are the guests of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs | S. Bone, Shotover St. Masters Ken Gray and Alan Stewart of Invercargill, spent the term holidays in Queenstown. Miss Lily Edwards of Garston spent a few days in Queenstown before leaving on a visit: to Dunedin. Mr Black of the Local Post and Telegraph Office is relieving Mr J.
