TOWN HALL TALKIES.
“YOUNG DESIRE.” NEXT SATURDAY’S PICTURE. “Young Desire” is the story of a young and beautiful girl who is a carnival dancer. She has never known the security of a home, or the peace of an ordered society. Weary of her tiresome existence, sick of the domination of the boss of the dancing girls, who is in love with her, she decides to make an effort to better her condition, to “beat the carnival game.” She wins the love of a young College student, a member of a prominent family in a little community where the old ideas of morality prevail. With happiness within her reach, her past rises to darken the future. In scenes tense with drama she rises to superb heights to meet the situation.
