(From Our C.vn Correspondent). Dunedin this day. MR LLOYD GEORGE’S HEALTH. An official wireless message from Rugby states that Mr Lloyd George’s condition continues satisfactory. COALMINERS IN BRITAIN. BIG CHANGES IMPENDING. It is announced in a London cable that a vast scheme to divide Britain into six units, in each of which only one colliery will be operated, is outlined by the Coalmine s Reorganisation Commission. The scheme involves a reduction of 1000 individual colliery organisations to 6 amalgamations, the closing of hundreds of uneconomic mines and conversion of whole districts which are now active into derelict areas, and the dismissal of 100,000 miners.
