ARROW IRRIGATION SCHEME.

The following reference to the Arrow irrigation scheme is contained in a report by the Minister of PubWorks (Mr E. A. Ransom) which appears in the Daily Times:—"Last year when Mr Coates visited Arrowtown, the local scheme was still unfinished, operations having been delayed as a result of the non-arrival of the pipes and fluming, which are one of the features of the scheme, covering a stretch of about five miles. These have now been delivered and are on the ground. The work has proceeded satisfactorily, and the project is now nearing completion. It is hoped to have the water laid on for the coming irrigation season, but everything depends on the working conditions which prevail for the next lew months.'
